Why We Love Them

A fabulously fun card you can send to someone you love for their birthday, valentine's day or just because.

The card is blank inside so you can write the perfect note to let that special person know you're thinking of them.

Handmade

All Hiya Pal cards are made by hand by Niki in Helensburgh.

Due to their handmade design, each one will be slightly different.

Please note that the specific tartan in this photograph may vary from the tartan in the card you receive.

Niki uses tartan offcuts from a kiltmaker in Edinburgh and they don’t always have the same tartans in stock.

The Brand

HIYA PAL

“Hiya Pal began in 2013 when I made my husband a Valentine's card. Aye, I know, boak. It's not as romantic as it sounds though, the card had a tartan heart on it, but it also had the word 'bawheid'.

All our pals loved it (my husband understandably less so), so I came up with some more designs, got myself a website and here I am 5 years later, still doing it.

I have a degree from Glasgow School of Art in visual communication and enjoy working on some graphic design jobs for various clients I've built up over the last couple of years, as well as starting up a new venture to explore some more papercut typography projects.

Other need to know facts: I prefer choccy digestives to teacakes, margaritas to whisky and fanta to irn bru...but I promise I am Scottish! You can find out more (probably too much) if you follow me on Instagram.”
